🎨Adobe Is Emerging as an AI Leader
In recent months, Adobe has aggressively deployed generative AI tools to enhance how users interact with creative software.
Key Details:
Adobe’s Creative Cloud AI services allow anybody to use simple inputs to produce images, videos, documents, and digital experiences.
These recent innovations have led to a 50% rally in Adobe stock in 2023.
Brad Sills, a BofA Global Research Analyst, raised his “rating on Adobe Stock to Buy from Neutral.”
Sills listed a new target price of $630 for a potential gain of 20%. He believes Adobe “is emerging as an AI leader.”
Why It’s Important:
AI-powered content creation tools will drive revenue and increase free cash flow.
Companies will generate more cash than is used to run the business and reinvest the excess capital to grow product offerings.
Adobe’s AI monetization opportunities are endless. Currently, Adobe is beta-testing a paid version of Firefly for enterprise customers.
🥊Google Is Testing an AI Life Advice Coach
One of Google’s AI units, DeepMind, is using generative AI to evolve 21 tools for life advice.
Key Details:
Google has reportedly contracted with Scale AI, the $7.3B startup that develops training and validation software, to test AI models.
This tool is not meant for therapeutic use but rather as a mental health support resource for answering intimate questions.
Why It’s Important:
This recent project has sparked controversy over the use of AI in a medical or therapeutic context.
In June, the National Eating Disorder Association was forced to suspend their Tessa chatbot for providing harmful eating disorder advice.
Physicians and regulators are still debating if AI is an appropriate resource for handling human emotions.
