AI Agents are leading a paradigm shift from Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) to Service-as-Software (SaS).
Key Details:
In the SaaS era, companies built software to assist employees with their workflows.
For example, Salesforce offers SaaS tools to help sales representatives manage customer interactions to close deals more efficiently.
However, these SaaS tools still rely on sales representatives to manually add customer interactions correctly and accurately.
Now, SaaS is undergoing a massive transition into SaS with the rise of AI Agents: virtual employees who can think, reason, and adapt to autonomously perform tasks.
Instead of just buying a SaaS tool, companies are buying an AI Agent that operates the SaaS tool, handling most of the tasks an employee would.
Why It’s Important:
When companies buy SaaS tools like Quickbooks, Salesforce, or HubSpot, they get a resource that boosts an employee’s productivity.
SaS handles most of the tasks an employee would, but with greater efficiency and without needing breaks, training, or management.

🔬Nvidia Tackles Genomic Research and Drug Discovery
Nvidia announced several new partnerships to transform the $10 trillion healthcare and life sciences industry with AI Apps, AI Agents, and AI Systems.
Key Details:
Nvidia is collaborating with IQVIA, Illumina, Mayo Clinic, and Arc Institute to advance drug discovery and accelerate genomic breakthroughs.
Arc Institute is leveraging NVIDIA H100 Tensor Core GPUs to power the first biological Foundation Model trained on DNA to predict and design genetic sequences.
Mayo Clinic is developing AI-powered Digital Pathology with 20 million whole-slide images and 10 million patient records.
Why It’s Important:
DNA holds the genetic blueprint for life itself. Understanding how it works enables scientists to develop new drugs and allows doctors to assess a patient’s likelihood of having specific diseases.
Instead of examining tissue samples under a microscope, Digital Pathology allows Mayo Clinic to create digital images of tissue samples for remote consultations.

🪨OpenAI’s New BlackRock Board Member

OpenAI recently appointed Adebayo “Bayo” Ogunlesi, a Senior Managing Partner and Chairman of Global Infrastructure Partners at BlackRock, to the company’s Board of Directors (BofD).
Mr. Ogunlesi has experience with expanding a company’s sales and brand awareness into foreign markets. He’ll help OpenAI navigate the global transformation of AI infrastructure to “drive innovation and foster economic growth.”
OpenAI recently raised $6.6 billion, valuing the company at $157 billion. However, the investors required OpenAI to transition the company’s “capped profit” framework into a Delaware Public Benefit Corporation (PBC) that’s no longer controlled by a non-profit BofD.
