⚙️AnyChat Combines Every AI Model Into a Unified Chatbot

A new tool called AnyChat is providing developers and enterprises with unprecedented flexibility by integrating multiple leading AI models into a unified chatbot.

Key Details:

• It was created by Ahsen Khaliq (i.e., also known as “AK”), a prominent figure in the AI community.

• “Instead of being tied to a single provider, AnyChat gives you the freedom to integrate AI models from various sources,” said Khaliq.

• In other words, it’s designed to make it easier for developers and enterprises to experiment with and deploy different AI models.

• AnyChat allows developers and enterprises to switch seamlessly between Meta’s Llama, OpenAI’s ChatGPT, Anthropic’s Claude, Google’s Gemini, xAI’s Grok, and Alibaba’s Qwen.

• It’s built on Gradio, a popular platform for creating, deploying, and sharing customizable AI applications.

Why It’s Important:

• By integrating multiple AI models into a unified chatbot, developers can reduce the underlying resources needed to run and manage separate AI models.

• AnyChat enables enterprises to optimize existing business workflows by using different AI models that work best for different tasks.

🏥AI Outperforms Doctors at Diagnosing Conditions

A small study from the University of Virginia (UVA) found that OpenAI’s ChatGPT outperformed physicians at diagnosing conditions.

Key Details:

• It involved 50 physicians who were given an hour to examine six medical cases with detailed patient scenarios of symptoms, health history, and relevant test results.

• The 50 physicians were divided into two groups:

  1. Group A: Physicians using traditional diagnostic methods.

  2. Group B: Physicians using OpenAI’s ChatGPT to help them.

• Group B would input the medical cases into OpenAI’s ChatGPT to incorporate the conversational chatbot’s suggestions into their diagnosis.

• The graders were medical experts who only saw each participant’s diagnosis without knowing whether they were from Group A, Group B, or OpenAI’s ChatGPT.

• Group A achieved 74% accuracy, Group B achieved 76% accuracy, and OpenAI’s ChatGPT achieved 90% accuracy.

• The small study noted that Group B only used OpenAI’s ChatGPT as a search engine and often dismissed the conversational chatbot’s suggestions when they conflicted with their diagnosis.

Why It’s Important:

• This small study challenges assumptions that conversational chatbots are just there to assist. Instead, they’re colleagues with legitimate opinions.

• Dr. Adam Rodman, an expert in internal medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), confidently expected Group B to perform the best. “I was shocked,” he said.

📽Ben Affleck Says AI Won’t Take Over Hollywood

Ben Affleck, a famous actor known for his roles in Air, Argo, and Gone Girl, believes that “movies will be one of the last things replaced by AI.”

When asked about AI creating movies from scratch, Affleck replied, “That’s not possible now. Will it be in the future? It’s highly unlikely.”

He explained that “AI is a craftsman at best.” Craftsmen learn by observing techniques and practicing under guidance. “That’s how AI works. It’s basically cross-pollinating things that exist. Nothing new is created.” In other words, AI learns by observing and imitating rather than generating truly novel ideas.

“Craftsman is knowing how to work. Art is knowing when to stop. And I think knowing when to stop will be difficult for AI to learn because it lacks consistency, control, and quality,” Affleck said.

Affleck sees AI being used in the more “laborious, less creative, and more costly aspects of filmmaking, lowering the barrier to entry and allowing more voices to be heard.”
