đŠAI Will Shrink Amazonâs Corporate Workforce

Amazon CEO Andy Jassy just announced that the e-commerce giantâs corporate workforce will shrink as it adopts GenAI and AI Agents.
Key Details:
AI Agents are starting to change how companies perform complex business processes by acting on an employeeâs behalf. They have the ability to autonomously analyze, execute, and fulfill without an employee lifting a finger.
âAs we roll out more GenAI and AI Agents, it should change the way our work is done,â Mr. Jassy explained. âWeâll need fewer people doing some of the jobs that are being done today.â
âAI Agents will change how we work and live,â he added. âWhile many of these AI Agents have yet to be built, theyâre coming, and fast.â
He continued by saying GenAI will âtransform the scope and speed at which weâre able to innovate.â
Why Itâs Important:
Nearly 80% of companies use GenAI, yet just as many companies experience no significant financial gains, such as increased revenue, reduced costs, or improved margins, from the technology. McKinsey & Co. (McK) refers to this as the âGenAI Paradox.â
AI Agents offer a way to break out of the âGenAI Paradoxâ because they possess the ability to automate complex business workflows by shifting GenAI from a reactive tool to a proactive virtual co-worker.

đŠŸMIT Teaches LLMs to Self-Improve
The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) recently developed âSelf-Adapting LLMs (SEAL),â which enable LLMs to autonomously self-improve.
Key Details:
LLMs are essentially sophisticated autocomplete machines trained on the entire Internet. So, how exactly are LLMs trained?
Theyâre shown millions of sentences with the last word covered up and must guess what comes next (e.g., âShe poured a cup of hot {BLANK}?â).
LLMs learn to predict words like âteaâ or âcoffeeâ based on patterns theyâve seen from similar phrases within training datasets. But once training ends, the LLMs become static.
If a new fact, emerging trend, or unique task appears, the LLMs wonât know how to handle it unless developers retrain them.
SEAL solves this issue by creating âself-edits,â or instructions to help LLMs autonomously generate new training datasets and update existing Weights.
Weights help LLMs measure the meaning of words within a sentence to understand context, which is essential for generating accurate, coherent, and relevant outputs.
Consider the following sentence: âThe dog barked at the stranger.â In this example, the LLMs would look at the word âbarkedâ and determine that âdogâ is important because itâs doing the barking.
Why Itâs Important:
LLMs are static once training ends. That means if new slang becomes popular or a recent scientific discovery occurs, they wonât know about it.
SEAL enables LLMs to self-update on the fly, so they stay current without requiring full retraining.
PROMPT ENGINEERING TIPS
âïžCreative Constraints
Freedom is great, but boundaries spark brilliance.
When your ideas are too open-ended, your focus can feel scattered. You need a way to sharpen your vision and filter out unwanted noise.
Thatâs where creative constraints come in. They help you define the shape of your ideas, turning ambiguity into action.
This simple prompt helps ChatGPT set clear limits on style, length, and format to give you creative structure:
Context: Iâm brainstorming ideas for {Insert Project},
Clarity: but my ideas feel too broad and unfocused.
Guidance: Can you help me define creative constraints to guide these ideas?
