š¦AI Will Shrink Amazonās Corporate Workforce

Amazon CEO Andy Jassy just announced that the e-commerce giantās corporate workforce will shrink as it adopts GenAI and AI Agents.
Key Details:
AI Agents are starting to change how companies perform complex business processes by acting on an employeeās behalf. They have the ability to autonomously analyze, execute, and fulfill without an employee lifting a finger.
āAs we roll out more GenAI and AI Agents, it should change the way our work is done,ā Mr. Jassy explained. āWeāll need fewer people doing some of the jobs that are being done today.ā
āAI Agents will change how we work and live,ā he added. āWhile many of these AI Agents have yet to be built, theyāre coming, and fast.ā
He continued by saying GenAI will ātransform the scope and speed at which weāre able to innovate.ā
Why Itās Important:
Nearly 80% of companies use GenAI, yet just as many companies experience no significant financial gains, such as increased revenue, reduced costs, or improved margins, from the technology. McKinsey & Co. (McK) refers to this as the āGenAI Paradox.ā
AI Agents offer a way to break out of the āGenAI Paradoxā because they possess the ability to automate complex business workflows by shifting GenAI from a reactive tool to a proactive virtual co-worker.

š¦¾MIT Teaches LLMs to Self-Improve
The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) recently developed āSelf-Adapting LLMs (SEAL),ā which enable LLMs to autonomously self-improve.
Key Details:
LLMs are essentially sophisticated autocomplete machines trained on the entire Internet. So, how exactly are LLMs trained?
Theyāre shown millions of sentences with the last word covered up and must guess what comes next (e.g., āShe poured a cup of hot {BLANK}?ā).
LLMs learn to predict words like āteaā or ācoffeeā based on patterns theyāve seen from similar phrases within training datasets. But once training ends, the LLMs become static.
If a new fact, emerging trend, or unique task appears, the LLMs wonāt know how to handle it unless developers retrain them.
SEAL solves this issue by creating āself-edits,ā or instructions to help LLMs autonomously generate new training datasets and update existing Weights.
Weights help LLMs measure the meaning of words within a sentence to understand context, which is essential for generating accurate, coherent, and relevant outputs.
Consider the following sentence: āThe dog barked at the stranger.ā In this example, the LLMs would look at the word ābarkedā and determine that ādogā is important because itās doing the barking.
Why Itās Important:
LLMs are static once training ends. That means if new slang becomes popular or a recent scientific discovery occurs, they wonāt know about it.
SEAL enables LLMs to self-update on the fly, so they stay current without requiring full retraining.
PROMPT ENGINEERING TIPS
āļøCreative Constraints
Freedom is great, but boundaries spark brilliance.
When your ideas are too open-ended, your focus can feel scattered. You need a way to sharpen your vision and filter out unwanted noise.
Thatās where creative constraints come in. They help you define the shape of your ideas, turning ambiguity into action.
This simple prompt helps ChatGPT set clear limits on style, length, and format to give you creative structure:
Context: Iām brainstorming ideas for {Insert Project},
Clarity: but my ideas feel too broad and unfocused.
Guidance: Can you help me define creative constraints to guide these ideas?
