Amazon just introduced “Nova,” a family of five new AI Systems and a new AI Framework for deploying AI Agents to browse websites autonomously.

Nova Canvas: An Image Generation AI System that turns brief text inputs into high-quality image outputs.
Nova Reel: A Video Generation AI System that turns descriptive text inputs or image inputs into high-quality video outputs.
Nova Act: An AI Framework that enables developers to build AI Agents that autonomously click, scroll, type, browse, and navigate websites for you.
Why It’s Important:

🦾AI-Supported Liquid Robots That Shape-Shift?!

Researchers at Seoul National University (SNU) developed “Particle-Armored Liquid roBot (PB),” a liquid blob that shape-shifts to pick up debris.
Key Details:
“PB” is comprised of water and Hydrophobic Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), which forms a shell around the water to help it maintain a defined shape.
This structure enables it to:
Merge with other “PBs.”
Squeeze through narrow spaces.
Engulf objects and transport cargo.
“PB” is controlled through ultrasonic waves that enable it to move, deform, divide, and change shape, all without leaking or collapsing.
AI Systems can help control, analyze, and enhance these ultrasonic waves to optimize “PB’s” ability to merge, squeeze, and engulf.
“It can also be done with alternative liquids if they can be frozen and PTFE particles can adhere to their surface,” explained Hyobin Jeon, Lead Researcher in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at SNU.
Why It’s Important:
“PB’s” ability to squeeze through narrow spaces allows it to navigate complex biological environments.
For example, navigating blood vessels to provide targeted drug delivery to cancerous cells.
