🧨Anthropic Launches Claude Pro
Anthropic finally released Claude Pro, a premium plan with enhanced features and increased message limits to rival OpenAI’s ChatGPT Plus.
Key Details:
With Claude Pro, subscribers can access 5X more usage on Claude 2 for a monthly price of $20.
Users can enhance their productivity levels across tasks, including summarizing research papers, querying contracts, and iterating further on coding projects.
Claude Pro offers priority access to Claude.ai during high-traffic periods and early access to new features.
Anthropic anticipates needing $5B in funding within the next two years to continue leveling up their AI platforms while fending off competitors like Google’s Bard.
Why It’s Important:
Anthropic, launched in 2021 and led by former OpenAI VP of Research Cario Amodei, has raised $1.45B. However, the company anticipates needing $5B over several years.
Revenue streams from Claude Pro will funnel into upgrading computing capacity through GPU infrastructure updates.
Anthropic claims to have thousands of customers and influential partners like Quora. Millions of developers use OpenAI’s models, and the company expects $1B in revenue within the following year. How will Anthropic rival a well-funded company with a majority market share?

🛍eBay Unveils AI-Generated Product Listing Tool
eBay is rolling out an AI tool for marketplace sellers that generates a product listing from a single photo.
Key Details:
eBay believes AI-driven product listings will accelerate the selling process, especially for new merchants overwhelmed by the listing details they must provide.
This new tool leverages pictures sellers upload to automatically fill in product details like title, description, item category, and pricing options.
An eBay spokesperson informed TechCrunch: “At eBay, we’re using AI to reduce friction across the platform and transform the listing process. This tool makes the seller’s job of listing items incredibly painless, easy, and even fun.”
Why It’s Important:
eBay is addressing the “cold start” issue experienced by first-time sellers on its platform. Often, new sellers are overwhelmed by the amount of information required to create a competitive listing.
An official eBay community forum camera seller claimed that eBay’s AI-generated tool was misleading. The reseller posted a listing for a vintage Pentax K100 SE 35mm SLR film camera. eBay’s AI model generated a description with false information.
