Writing Tools: Helps you rewrite, proofread, and summarize text across the iOS ecosystem.
Image Playground: Delivers an easy-to-use experience to create fun and playful images in apps like Messages, Notes, Keynote, or Pages.
Genmoji: Allows you to create custom GenAI emojis tailored to conversations and generate suggested replies to streamline texting.
Smart Siri: Siri can understand spoken language commands and has âon-screen awarenessâ to control actions in apps.
Reference Resolution as Language Modeling (ReALM): An AI model that enables Siri to monitor on-screen tasks, conversational context, and background processes.
Contextual Information: Siri can automate mundane tasks like compiling a grocery list, managing emails, or crafting text replies.
OpenAI ChatGPT Integrations: Apple will merge ChatGPT into their devices to record phone calls, schedule text messages, or compile emails.
Siriâs ChatGPT: Siri can rely on ChatGPT when it canât answer your request and requires âbroader world knowledgeâ or specialized expertise.

Microsoft announced a series of changes to the companyâs âRecallâ feature after an initial wave of security concerns.
Key Details:
At Microsoft Build 2024, the company revealed a new Windows 11 âCopilot+ Recallâ feature, which tracks everything you see and do on your device.
âCopilot+ Recallâ constantly takes screenshots of whatâs on your device. Then, it leverages an on-device GenAI model and Neural Processing Units (NPUs) to process all that data, making it searchable.
Microsoft faced an initial wave of security concerns across social media, with users highlighting the privacy nightmare âCopilot+ Recallâ poses.
In response, âCopilot+ Recallâ will now be off by default, and users will need to manually enable it along with new encryption and authentication safety measures.
Copilot+ Recallâ will roll out on the new âCopilot+ PCs,â set to launch on June 18, 2024.
Why Itâs Important:
âCopilot+ Recallâ assists you by considering your historical behaviors and data, sparking concerns over privacy risks and new attack vectors for bad actors.
âCopilot+ Recallâ will store and process snapshots locally on your device, wonât leverage snapshots for AI training, and private browsing content wonât be saved on Edge, Chrome, Firefox, Opera, or Chromium-based browsers.

AI RESEARCH
âïžConcise Prompting Cuts AI Costs by 20%
Researchers at Johns Hopkins University discovered that adding a âbe conciseâ instruction to Chain-of-Thought (CoT) prompts reduced AI model responses and operational costs.
Chain-of-Thought (CoT) prompting is a technique for boosting the accuracy of AI model responses by breaking down complex problems into management steps.
An Application Programming Interface (API) is a tool that allows multiple software applications to share data, features, and functionality back-and-forth rapidly.
Researchers added âbe conciseâ to CoT prompts when using OpenAIâs GPT-4 across 1,000 multiple-choice questions covering 10 topics.
The âbe conciseâ instruction made AI model responses 50% shorter with minimal impact on accuracy, reducing API costs by over 20%.
