  • ERNIE X1” is a Reasoning Engine designed to mimic a human’s decision-making capabilities. It excels at breaking down complex problems into manageable steps.

  • ERNIE 4.5” outperforms “GPT-4.5” while costing just 1% of OpenAI’s input and output prices.

  • ERNIE X1” competes with “DeepSeek-R1” while costing just 50% of DeepSeek’s input and output prices.

Why It’s Important:
  • DeepSeek claims that “DeepSeek-R1” and “DeepSeek-V3” have a theoretical daily revenue of $562,027. Baidu is positioning itself as an even more cost-effective alternative with “ERNIE X1.”

    3. TraceGen: Generates reasoning steps.

  • The training dataset included 378,027 examples of successfully answered medical questions with 281,695 tool requests and 177,626 reasoning steps.
