  • xAI recently built “Colossus,” the world’s biggest supercomputer powered by 100,000 NVIDIA H100 Tensor Core GPUs.

  • Musk wants to leverage “Colossus” to create an AI-powered game engine that generates infinite video game worlds.

  • Video games are manually written around the following Game Loop:

    1. Gather User Inputs

    2. Update Game State

    3. Render It to Screen Pixels

  • This Game Loop creates the illusion of an interactive virtual world. However, it just emulates the manually written video game software.

  • An AI-powered game engine could generate video games tailored to each player’s decisions, including levels, characters, and gameplay mechanics.

  • An AI Game Studio could help developers reduce costs, optimize workflows, and improve overall video game quality.
