GXO Logistics signed an industry-first multi-year agreement with Agility Robotics to deploy the company’s “Digit” humanoid robot in SPANX warehouses.

Key Details:

  • This deal is being hailed as both the first Robot-as-a-Service (RaaS) agreement and the first formal commercial deployment of humanoid robots.

  • GXO Logistics is the world’s largest contract logistics company that designs, manages, and optimizes supply chains.

  • Agility Robotics is the world’s leading manufacturer of mobile manipulation robots. The company developed a humanoid robot called “Digit” that pairs with a cloud automation solution called “Agility Arc.”

  • “Digit” will be integrated into GXO Logistics automation systems in a SPANX warehouse.

  • The SPANX warehouse specializes in shapewear for boxer briefs and leggings. “Digit” will streamline repetitive tasks such as transferring containers to conveyors.
