FinalSpark launched Neuroplatform, the world’s first online system that enables scientists to access and conduct experiments on biological processors with live brain cells for computing.
Key Details:
“Organoids” are three-dimensional cell clusters grown in a lab to resemble parts of the human brain.
“Biocomputing” harnesses the processing power of the “organoids” neuron networks to communicate through complex electrical signals.
Neuroplatform combines traditional computer parts with living brain cells, rewarding the “organoids” with dopamine when generating correct outputs to train the biocomputer.
Neuroplatform leverages 16 “organoids” to process information and perform calculations while consuming a “million times less power than traditional digital processors.”
Why It’s Important:
Lower Power Consumption: Compared to traditional digital processors, Neuroplatform leverages biological processors in the brain cells, which are inherently more efficient than silicon-based computing.
The complex neuron networks in the “organoids” offer new computing power that could outperform traditional methods for specific tasks.

Apple will unveil a comprehensive AI strategy during the company’s 2024 Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC24). Here’s a concise breakdown of every major rumored AI-powered feature for the iOS 18 and MacOS 15 operating systems.
Key Details:
Apple’s Large Language Models (LLMs) and Hardware:
Ajax LLM: An on-device AI model that analyzes text using Named Entity Recognition (NER) to identify the relationships between variables across iOS apps.
Reference Resolution as Language Modeling (ReALM): Converts on-device screen information into text inputs, bypassing bulky image recognition parameters when processing user requests.
Project Greymatter: Merges AI add-ons into core iOS 18 functionalities and apps using Ajax LLM and ReALM to automate tasks like texting friends, adding calendar invites, or creating to-do lists.
iOS 18 and MacOS 15 Operating Systems: Will include software applications that determine whether AI-enabled Siri features should be handled on the device or require cloud computing.
Secure Enclave: A hardware component built into modern iPhone, iPad, and MacBook processors that acts as a mini-fortress inside the central processor to keep customer data ultra-secure.
Safari: AI-generated recaps of news articles and Safari searches.
Siri: Understand contextual information to automate mundane tasks like compiling a grocery list, managing emails, or crafting text replies.
Math Notes: Allows users to create graphs and solve equations by recognizing the text of mathematical equations.
iMessage: Users can create custom GenAI emojis tailored to conversations and generate suggested replies to streamline texting.
Rich Communications Services (RCS): Brings AI-powered iMessage-style features to cross-platform texts like Android.
Home Screen: AI-enabled iOS 18 home screen layouts that will allow users to change app icon colors and place them anywhere.
