Luma Labs launched “Dream Machine,” a text-to-video AI model that generates high-quality short clips.
Key Details:
“Dream Machine” generates up to 120 frames in 120 seconds from brief text prompts or still images with consistent, smooth, and physically accurate camera movements.
“Dream Machine” deeply understands language, enabling it to interpret prompts accurately and generate compelling characters that express vibrant emotions.
After announcing the free public version of “Dream Machine” today, users experienced long wait times for their high-quality short clips.
Luma Labs posted on Discord: “Hey everyone, thanks so much for all the enthusiasm and support! We currently face high demand and are working on increasing our capacity.”
The sheer volume of traffic to access and utilize “Dream Machine” caused higher wait times.

👨⚖️Tesla Shareholder Sue Elon Musk Over xAI

Tesla shareholders are suing Elon Musk and the automaker’s Board of Directors over Musk’s xAI startup.
Key Details:
xAI focuses on building AI models that accelerate human scientific discovery to advance “our collective understanding of the universe.”
xAI offers a conversational chatbot called Grok-1.5 and a multimodal AI model called Grok-1.5V to process visual information like charts, diagrams, documents, and screenshots.
The lawsuit claims Musk “plundered resources from Tesla and diverted them to xAI, creating billions in AI-related value at a company other than Tesla.”
Tesla has reportedly provided xAI access to the automaker’s AI-related data library through Full Self-Driving (FSD).
Musk also diverted a $500 million shipment of Nvidia H100 Tensor Core GPUs reserved for Tesla to his social media company X and AI startup xAI.
Why It’s Important:
In 2018, Tesla’s Board of Directors designed a performance-based compensation package for Musk contingent on ambitious milestones for the automaker’s market capitalization targets.
In 2023, Judge Kathaleen McCormick of the Delaware Court of Chancery ruled that Musk’s $56 billion compensation package was invalid because it allowed him to exert too much control over Tesla.
This lawsuit focusing on xAI was filed a few hours before Tesla’s annual meeting, where shareholders re-ratified Musk’s $56 billion compensation package.
Musk explained that diverting the Nvidia H100 Tensor Core GPUs was because Tesla’s data centers are still under construction.

Google published a series of research papers introducing a Large Language Model (LLM) that aims to understand and reason about personal health questions and data.
PH-LLM is a fine-tuned version of Google Gemini that evaluates data from wearables and generates coaching insights to improve your diet, fitness, and sleep.
Wearables are electronic devices that track, analyze, and transmit personal data. For example, the Apple Watch Series 9 includes a step counter, sleep tracker, and heart rate monitor.
PH-LLM was systematically evaluated across three benchmark datasets that test “expert domain knowledge, alignment with patient-reported outcomes, and the ability to produce human quality recommendations.”
Google also introduced a Personal Health Insights Agent (PHIA), an AI agent that leverages state-of-the-art code generation and informational retrieval tools to analyze and interpret behavioral health data from wearables.
