⚙️Microsoft’s Quantum Computing Breakthrough

Microsoft unveiled “Majorana 1,” the world’s first Quantum Processing Unit (QPU) that’s designed to scale to a million “qubits.”

Key Details:

• A Quantum is the smallest discrete unit of a phenomenon. For example, a Quantum of electricity is an electron.

• While Traditional Computers use “bits” (i.e., 0 or 1) to process information, Quantum Computing uses “qubits” (i.e., 0 or 1, or both at the same time).

• The Quantum State is when a “qubit” has the potential to be either 0 or 1, but it’s not one or the other yet. It’s like a Coin flipping in the air; it’s both heads and tails until it lands.

• “Majorana 1” aims to maintain the Quantum State for as long as possible by using “topological qubits,” which are based on exotic particles called Majorana Fermions.

Why It’s Important:

• The Quantum State enables you to explore a vast number of possibilities at the same time.

• Quantum Computing can solve a complex problem in Minutes that would take a Supercomputer 10 Septillion Years to complete.

🔥OpenAI Just Got DeepSeek’d Again!

Convergence AI just released “Proxy 1.0,” the world’s most capable Web-Based AI Agent that’s free to use.

Key Details:

• “Proxy 1.0” can autonomously click, scroll, type, browse, and navigate the web for you.

• It can Buy Gifts on Amazon, Job Hunt on LinkedIn, summarize Pull Requests on GitHub, or Book Reservations on a restaurant’s website.

• “Proxy 1.0” was developed by a London-Based Startup with just 24 Employees and $12 Million, which is only 0.067% of OpenAI’s Budget.

Why It’s Important:

• Convergence AI is directly competing with OpenAI’s “Operator,” an AI Agent that fills out forms, orders groceries, and creates memes.

• But “Operator” is only available for ChatGPT Pro Plans in the U.S., which costs $200 per month.

🧬Arc Institute Develops ChatGPT for DNA

Arc Institute developed “Evo 2,” a biological Foundation Model trained on DNA to predict, design, and understand genetic sequences.

A Foundation Model is an AI model trained on massive amounts of diverse data so it can be applied across a wide range of use cases. “Evo 2” was trained on over 9.3 trillion Nucleotides (i.e., fundamental building blocks of DNA) from more than 128,000 species.

While other AI models like OpenAI’s ChatGPT are trained on text, “Evo 2” learns from the information encoded within DNA, enabling it to generate DNA Sequences of over a million Bases.

A DNA Sequence is a specific order of the four Nucleotides that make up a strand of DNA: Adenine (A), Cytosine (C), Guanine (G), and Thymine (T). A Base is one of the four Nucleotides.
