Microsoft quietly released the Copilot app in the Google Play Store to rival mobile assistants like Siri, Google Assistant, and Samsung’s Bixby.
Key Details:
The Copilot app is an AI-powered chat assistant fueled by the latest OpenAI models, GPT-4 and DALL-E 3.
Copilot provides fast, complex, and precise responses to any question, expanding the diverse options users can access from the palm of their hand.
Users can draft emails, compose stories, summarize complex texts, deploy multilingual context translation, and build resumes.
The DALL-E 3 Image Creator transforms text prompts into high-quality visuals in abstract to photorealistic styles.
Why It’s Important:
Microsoft’s Copilot app has surpassed 100,000 downloads, quickly infiltrating the mobile app market. This unified AI-powered app for Android users highlights the desire for more advanced, user-centric solutions over traditional virtual assistants.
While the Copilot app caters exclusively to Android users, an iOS version is imminent, given the significant market share of Apple’s operating system and the strategic importance of reaching a broader user base.

Writerbuddy published a report examining the top 50 most visited AI tools over the past 12 months, isolating factors contributing to traffic visits.
Key Details:
The top 50 AI tools drew over 24 billion visits between September 2022 and August 2023, experiencing a 10.7X growth rate with a monthly increase of 236.3 million visits.
OpenAI’s ChatGPT led with 14 billion visits, comprising over 60% of the analyzed traffic.
The AI industry averaged 2 billion monthly visits over the past year, with a surge of 3.3 billion in the last 6 months.
The U.S. comprised 5.5 billion visits, equating to 22.62% of the total traffic.
Roughly 63% of AI tools were accessed through mobile devices.
Gender data revealed that 69.5% are male users, and 30.5% are female users.
Why It’s Important:
After surpassing 4.1 billion visit peaks earlier this year, the AI industry experienced 1.2 billion in traffic loss after regulatory changes, economic burnout, shifts in consumer preferences, and the adoption of mobile apps.
However, ChatGPT, Character AI, and Google Bard experienced net traffic growth of 1.8 billion, 463.4 million, and 68 million visits, respectively.
