💸 NVIDIA Prepares for a Triumphant Return to China

NVIDIA officially became the most valuable company to ever exist, achieving a historic $5.71 trillion market cap. So, what triggered the chipmaker’s latest rally?
Key details:
NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang’s last-minute inclusion on U.S. President Donald Trump’s trip to Beijing sparked speculation about a possible turning point in the U.S.-China GPU standoff, which has left billions of dollars stuck in limbo.
On Dec. 8th, 2025, the Trump Administration authorized the sale of NVIDIA’s second-most powerful AI chip, the H200 GPU, to China, with the U.S. earning a 25% share of every sale by leveraging Section 232 of the Trade Expansion Act of 1962 to “impose tariffs on imports that pose a threat to national security.”
It’s a clever loophole that allows the U.S. government to capture export-related revenue through an import tariff, with NVIDIA paying that 25% “tariff tax” directly to the U.S. Department of Treasury. There’s just one issue: China isn’t buying.
Key takeaways:
The potential to enter China’s $50 billion AI hardware market, which represented 13%, or $17.1 billion worth, of NVIDIA’s revenue before U.S. export controls tightened, is what’s fueling NVIDIA’s latest stock surge. Will this Beijing trip fix everything?

🦾 Humanoid Robot Completes 8-Hour Factory-Style Shift

Figure AI’s F.03, a new general-purpose humanoid robot equipped with Helix 02, just completed a full 8-hour factory-style shift without any human intervention.
Key details:
Helix 02, a single neural system that serves as the “AI brain,” enables the general-purpose humanoid robot to process information like us in three ways: 1. See: recognize foreign objects like we do with our eyes, 2. Listen: hear spoken instructions like we do with our ears, 3. Do: perform coordinated movements like we do with our bodies.
Unlike traditional industrial robots that rely on separate controllers for movement and manipulation, Helix 02 connects every onboard tactile sensor directly to every joint-level actuator, converting electrical energy into mechanical motion in real time. In simple terms, it mimics the human brain and nervous system.
The team of general-purpose humanoid robots has already collectively worked for more than 17 hours and sorted over 22,000 packages, scanning distinct barcodes and positioning varied box sizes.
Key takeaways:
Labor costs heavily influence the prices of goods and services. Efficiently deploying general-purpose humanoid robots would reduce labor costs over time, ultimately lowering the prices of goods and services for everyday consumers like you and me.
The global humanoid robot market is widely projected to reach a $5 trillion valuation by 2050, meaning there could be well over 1 billion humanoid robots deployed within the next 25 years! Until then, reality is ruining the humanoid robot hype. We still need to overcome crippling technical bottlenecks like poor energy efficiency and subpar battery life.
