Key Details:

• There were 101 participants across four email groups:

  1. Control Group: Sent generic scam emails without any tailored information.

  2. Human Expert Group: Sent Spear Phishing emails created by human experts.

  3. AI-Automated Group: Sent Spear Phishing emails generated entirely by AI systems.

  4. Human Oversight Group: Sent Spear Phishing emails generated by AI systems with human oversight.

• The Control Group had a 12% Click Rate, while the Human Expert Group and the AI-Automated Group had a 54% Click Rate.

• The AI-Automated Group performed 350% better than the Control Group.

Why It’s Important:

• Spear Phishing emails are usually costly, time-consuming, and don’t scale well.

• However, AI systems drastically reduce the costs of Spear Phishing emails while maintaining an excellent Click Rate at scale.
