📋OpenAI Rolls Out New Tasks Feature Within ChatGPT

OpenAI is rolling out Tasks, a new feature that sets reminders and schedules actions within ChatGPT.
Key Details:
Tasks allows you to tell ChatGPT what you need, when you need it. Then, it automatically takes care of everything else.
For example, “Remind me when my free trial expires in three months” or “Give me a weekend activity based on my location and weather forecast every Friday.”
Plus, Team, and Pro plans can access Tasks by selecting “4o With Scheduled Tasks” from the dropdown menu within ChatGPT.
Why It’s Important:
Tasks transforms ChatGPT from a reactive chatbot to a proactive companion that sets reminders and schedules actions.
Tasks resembles the first stages of AI Agents: virtual employees who can think, reason, and adapt to autonomously perform tasks for you.

⚙️Microsoft’s New AI Engineering Division

Microsoft is forming a CoreAI-Platform and Tools Division responsible for building AI Apps, AI Agents, and AI Frameworks for developers and enterprises.
Key Details:
It will be led by the former Global Head of Engineering at Facebook, Jay Parikh, who has ”experience building and scaling technical teams for data center projects.”
The goal is to transform the tools, platforms, and services Microsoft offers to developers and enterprises by adding AI integrations.
For example, integrating AI Frameworks into Microsoft Azure to identify hardware failures earlier and allocate computing power more efficiently.
Why It’s Important:
Microsoft is essentially restructuring the company’s entire Developer Division (DevDiv) to focus on AI integrations.
“Our AI models and tools, platforms, and services will come together to create AI Agents that offer Service-as-Software (SaS),” said Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella.

A romance scammer convinced a 53-year-old interior designer named Anne that he was Brad Pitt by leveraging AI-generated images of the movie star.
“We’re talking about Brad Pitt here! I was stunned,” said Anne. “At first, I thought it was fake, but I didn’t really understand what was happening to me.” Over the next 18 months, she received AI-generated poems and eventually a marriage proposal.
At the time, Anne was divorcing her millionaire entrepreneur husband. So, when the romance scammer asked for money to pay for hospital treatments, she sent more than $850,000. To justify the movie star’s shortage of cash, the romance scammer claimed Pitt couldn’t access his bank accounts because of the recent divorce from Angelina Jolie.
