OpenAIâs researchers are developing a new Reasoning Engine called âStrawberryâ that autonomously solves the worldâs most complex problems.

đ§ AI Measures What Speeds Up Brain Aging
A newly devised âAI Brian Clockâ determines whether a personâs brain is aging faster than their chronological age would suggest.
The study analyzed the resting brain activity of 5,306 participants across 15 countries. These participants were either healthy, had Alzheimerâs disease, or suffered from mild cognitive impairment.
The study leveraged an AI model to filter through large datasets of brain scans and corresponding chronological ages. Then, the AI model calculated the âbrain-age gapâ for each participant.
This âbrain-age gapâ is the difference between the participantâs chronological age and their predicted brain age based on the AI modelâs analysis of their brain scans.
Participants from developing regions with socioeconomic inequality and exposure to air pollution exhibited bigger gaps between brain age and chronological age.
âThe way your brain ages isnât just about years. Itâs about where you live and what you do,â explained AgustĂn Ibåñez, the studyâs lead author and a neuroscientist at Adolfo Ibåñez University (UAI).
