💾 The New $200 Billion Market Opportunity for NVIDIA

NVIDIA’s infiltrated nearly every layer of AI’s five-layer cake. Now, it’s coming for the CPU throne to power the next wave of agentic AI.

Key details:
  • On Wednesday, NVIDIA delivered better-than-expected quarterly results, with Q1 FY2027 earnings showcasing sustained sales with record profits. The chipmaker reported a staggering $81.6 billion in revenue, up 85% compared to the same period last year. Unsurprisingly, NVIDIA’s data center sales accounted for $75.2 billion, or 92% of that revenue.

  • NVIDIA also announced an additional $80 billion share repurchase authorization while increasing its quarterly cash dividend from $0.01 per share to $0.25 per share. The buyback increases shareholder value indirectly by reducing the number of available shares in the open market. The quarterly cash dividend increases shareholder income by allocating cash payouts straight to brokerage accounts. This reinforces that NVIDIA makes so much money from “AI demand” it can afford to reward shareholders with more cash.

  • NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang highlighted the Vera Rubin platform, including the new NVIDIA Vera CPU, the world’s first processor purpose-built for agentic AI. He believes it’s a brand new $200 billion market opportunity. AI Agents are like proactive personal assistants that analyze, arrange, and automate without you lifting a finger. For example, filling out tax forms or booking hotel reservations on your behalf. When it comes to agentic AI, the GPUs do the number crunching, while the CPUs do the coordinating.

Key takeaways:
  • For a stock trading in triple-digit territory, a $1.00 annual cash dividend isn’t exactly the kind of passive income that gets retirees excited. Still, increasing the quarterly cash dividend by 25x, paired with an additional $80 billion share repurchase authorization, is NVIDIA’s way of flexing its financial muscle. This capital allocation quiets skeptics by demonstrating undeniable balance-sheet strength.

  • NVIDIA’s on track to become the world’s leading CPU supplier seemingly overnight, with the NVIDIA Vera CPU estimated to achieve $20 billion in annual revenue in the first year alone. The specs are eye-catching: twice the energy efficiency as traditional rack-scale CPUs and 50% faster than conventional CPU infrastructure.

😳 Anthropic’s Paying SpaceX $1.25 Billion a Month

SpaceX is expected to set a record for the biggest stock debut ever, minting the world’s first trillionaire. So, what does the commercial space economy look like?

Key details:
  • SpaceX officially filed IPO paperwork, planning to list on the Nasdaq under the stock ticker “SPCX” as early as June 12th, 2026, at a $1.75 trillion valuation. Tech billionaire Elon Musk will serve as the CEO, CTO, and Chairman of the Board, retaining absolute control over the aerospace empire with a combined voting power of 85.1%.

  • The S-1 revealed that SpaceX achieved $18.6 billion in revenue in 2025, an increase of 33% from the year prior, with Starlink bringing in $11.4 billion of that revenue. Still, it recorded a net loss of $4.9 billion, largely due to xAI spending $20 billion in CapEx on AI infrastructure buildouts with little to show for it. Well, until now.

  • Anthropic agreed to pay xAI $1.25 billion every month over the next three years to rent out access to Colossus 1, which is equipped with over 220,000 NVIDIA GPUs, including dense deployments of the H100, H200, and GB200 Grace Blackwell Superchip. SpaceX framed the deal as a way to monetize “unused compute capacity.”

Key takeaways:
  • SpaceX claims it identified a $28.5 trillion market opportunity, listing potential market entry points in space tourism, asteroid mining, and lunar manufacturing. The aerospace empire also detailed orbital AI through off-world data centers that harness the Sun’s unfiltered solar rays within the vacuum of space.

  • Anthropic gains immediate access to more than 300 MW of new computing power. On average, 1 MW of continuous power can support about 800 U.S. households, meaning Anthropic’s new compute capacity is equivalent to the power usage of around 240,000 U.S. households. It’s already enabled Anthropic to raise API rate limits considerably, meaning you’re allowed to send more requests within a specific timeframe without receiving errors.
