China hosted the first âWorld Humanoid Robot Games,â where over 500 humanoid robots grouped into 280 teams from 16 countries competed in dance battles, martial arts, and soccer.
Key Details:
Unitree H1 / H1-2 won four gold medals in events like the 400-meter (m) sprint. So, what made this humanoid robot the best?
Itâs equipped with three sensors:
Gyroscopes: Measure rotational orientation to indicate changes in tilt and velocity.
Accelerometers: Measure linear acceleration to indicate changes in speed and direction.
Force Feet Plates: Measure ground contact to detect pressure shifts and maintain balance.
It also boasts 34 Joint Position Encoders (JPEs). The Joint refers to mechanical parts that resemble a knee, elbow, or shoulder. The Position refers to the angular orientation of the Joint. Encoders convert mechanical motion into electrical signals.
It leverages AI-powered algorithms to capture, interpret, and act on data collected from the three sensors and 34 JPEs, enabling precise motion control and rapid balance adjustments.
Why Itâs Important:
Are humanoid robots equipped with arms, legs, and hands controlled by AI-powered brains on their way to work in stores and factories? Not yet, but the market for them could be twice the size of the auto industry within the next few decades.
Morgan Stanley (MS&Co.) estimates the humanoid robot market will likely reach $5 trillion by 2050. In other words, there could be more than 1 billion humanoid robots in use by 2050.

GOLDMAN SACHS
đȘŠAI Wonât Actually Kill Our Jobs?

Image Source: Goldman Sachs/âWhat industries are being affected by AI?â + âIs AI causing massive productivity gains?â/Screenshot
Goldman Sachs recently released âHow Will AI Affect the Global Workforce?,â arguing that the impact of AI adoption on employment levels may not be as severe as we think.
Key Details:
If AI were aggressively adopted today in a worst-case scenario situation, it would displace up to 7% of the U.S. workforce.
While that percentage seems alarming, Macro Research Analyst at Goldman Sachs Sarah Dong explained: âPredictions of technology reducing the need for human labor have a long history but a poor track record.â
Approximately 60% of U.S. workers today are employed in job roles that didnât even exist in 1940, implying that more than 85% of all employment growth in the last 80 years has been driven by new technologies.
Goldman Sachs expects AI to follow the same historical pattern, only causing a period of temporary job loss, where the U.S. Unemployment Rate (UR) briefly increases by just 0.5 percentage points. So, what does that even mean?
Imagine a coffee shop that usually has 4 customers waiting in line. Suddenly, a fancy new espresso machine is added. At first, the barista doesnât know how to use it, so the line slows down a bit, and about 4.5 customers have to wait. Once the barista figures out how to use the fancy new espresso machine, everything goes back to normal.
Why Itâs Important:
AI can only automate select tasks within daily workflows, not entire job roles, and thatâs unlikely to change anytime soon. This means job roles are only at risk if they involve repeatable steps that can be automated by software.
Goldman Sachs believes AI will automate parts of jobs, especially for accountants, computer programmers, and legal assistants. However, the U.S. workforce will only experience temporary unemployment before new job roles emerge. Why?! Historically, technological advancements have created new job roles rather than eliminating work altogether.

âïžSharpen Your Cold Email Skills!
Writing cold emails can be difficult for two reasons:
You have no relationships with the recipient.
Youâre usually seeking something from them.
As a result, most cold emails fail. To be successful, a cold email needs to be more than just a sales pitch; it needs to be clear, concise, engaging, personalized, and value-driven.
âWe must imagine the worst, which is that theyâre busy and distracted,â explained Thomas Jehn, Sosland Director of the Harvard College Writing Program. In other words, your cold email needs to respect their time and grab their attention.
This simple prompt turns ChatGPT into your personal cold email coach:
Context: Iâm writing a cold email for {Insert Recipient Details} to achieve {Insert Specific Goal},
Clarity: but I want to avoid sounding too salesy and establishes trust from the first sentence.
Guidance: Can you help me craft a cold email that builds rapport quickly, highlights mutual benefit, and encourages a positive reply?
