• Reasoning Engines like “OpenAI o1” and “DeepSeek-R1” have a huge problem: they overthink. If you ask them a simple question like “What’s 1+1?” they’ll take several seconds to generate a response.

• “IBPO” creates a budget and compute constraints for Reasoning Engines to generate the best response within a specific time limit.

• This efficiency is crucial for scaling Reasoning Engines to handle real-world scenarios with varying levels of complexity while using computational resources in a cost-effective manner.

🧯Workday Lays off 1,750 Employees to Focus On Agentic AI

On Wednesday, Workday CEO Carl Eschenbach sent a memo to employees explaining how he “made the difficult, but necessary, decision to eliminate approximately 1,750 positions, or 8.5% of our current workforce.”

Workday is prioritizing strategic investments to hire AI Talent and focus on Agentic AI that helps enterprises automate payroll, streamline human resources, and improve financial forecasts. “We need to better align our resources with the evolving needs of our customers,” said Eschenbach.

“As we start our new fiscal year, we’re at a pivotal moment,” Eschenbach added. “Companies everywhere are reimagining how work gets done, and the increasing demand for AI has the potential to drive a new era of growth for Workday.”
