AI Agents are quickly becoming the internetâs next customers, and Cloudflare is giving them identities and wallets to start shopping and spending on your behalf.
Key details:
Cloudflare announced âCloudflare Wallets,â equipping AI Agents with a stable identity and the ability to make purchases online safely without relying on human-facing logins, signups, and checkouts. In simple terms, buyers and sellers can now securely participate in agentic commerce with confidence, knowing who theyâre dealing with at every step of the transaction.
Itâs comprised of two layers. First, âAccount Walletâ enables Cloudflare account owners to receive, hold, and manage stablecoins: cryptocurrencies designed to maintain a fixed value, typically pegged 1:1 to a reserve asset like the U.S. dollar. Second, âVirtual Walletsâ are assigned to AI Agents with preset spending caps, approved merchant lists, and maximum transaction sizes.
âThe internet is shifting from human-driven browsing to agent-driven commerce,â said Cloudflare CEO Matthew Prince. âWhen an agent shows up at your door, you need to know who sent it.â We currently face an identity problem and a payment problem with agent-driven commerce, and Cloudflare is attempting to solve both with verifiable credentials and stablecoin wallets.
Key takeaways:
Global agentic commerce is projected to reach $5 trillion by 2030, meaning nearly 50% of all online shoppers are expected to use AI Agents. That means the internetâs next customers wonât have eyes, emotions, or expectations but lines of code programmed to find the best options and negotiate the best prices. The power of brand loyalty could weaken as algorithms rank price and performance over logos and legacy.
Cloudflare recently shared that thereâs more âweb trafficâ from bots than humans across the internet for the first time ever. More specifically, bots account for 60.7% of âweb traffic,â while humans account for 39.3%. Weâre entering the agentic era, forcing us to rethink how the web works from the ground up. In other words, donât be surprised when the web ditches eye-catching visuals for machine-readable formats that provide structured, semantically clear data for AI Agents to effortlessly fill out medical intake forms and book hotel reservations on your behalf.

The chorus of âAI boosâ at college graduations doesnât tell the whole story: students are actively using AI and believe itâs the key to landing high-paying jobs.
Key details:
According to a three-year student research report from American Universityâs Kogod School of Business, more than 80% of business students have used AI for coursework within the last six months. Of the 207 business students surveyed in 2026, brainstorming was the most common âAI use caseâ at 75.8%, followed by studying for exams at 66.2%, summarizing course materials at 62.3%, and explaining course topics at 58.5%. These findings suggest that business students use AI to generate ideas, organize thoughts, and study lessons.
When asked how many times per week they use AI for âschool, internships, or employment-related tasks,â 29% reported using it at least 11 times per week in 2026, up from 6.2% in 2024. Thatâs a 367.7% increase in just two years. In other words, weekly AI usage has skyrocketed for business students. When asked which âAI skillsâ they wanted to learn, prompt engineering and model strategy were ranked first at 33.0%, with coding and technical development ranked second at 19.8%. These findings suggest that business students want to improve how they communicate with AI and how they build with AI.
When asked: âHave potential employers asked about your ability to use AI in the workplace?â 11.6% responded âyesâ in 2024, compared to 32.0% in 2025 and 42.6% in 2026. Of those who responded âyes,â more than 50% expressed that the job interview questions focused on general AI & data analysis. âIn just two years, the percentage of Kogod students who said employers asked about their AI skills during the hiring process nearly tripled,â said David Marchick, Interim President of American University and Dean at Kogod School of Business. âIn another two years, I suspect that almost every employer will ask students about their AI skills.â
Key takeaways:
As AI reshapes how we develop thoughts, form judgments, and work together, schools are being forced to ârethinkâ how they educate students. Weâre starting to see teachers instruct their students in SEL, helping them learn to cultivate self-awareness, self-management, and responsible decision-making so they can use AI ethically.
Students arenât the only ones handing schoolwork to AI. Teachers are too. When Anthropic analyzed 74,000 anonymized conversations from educators using Claude, it found that 7% employed Claude to tackle grades, with 48.9% of those grading-related tasks being heavily automated. One Northeastern professor shared: âIâm very wary of using AI to assess or advise students in any way. And ethically, students arenât paying tuition for the AIâs time, theyâre paying for my time.â
